We breed Tibetan Mastiffs. Now we have four Tibetan Mastiffs: males Bagheera and Azamgarh and females Annapurna and Cacci.

Tibetan Mastiffs are massive and primitive dogs. In Tibet they herd and guard for example wandering livestock. Although in Europe Tibetan Mastiffs are considered family-dogs, their strong drive to guarding and ability  to independant work has remained. In Tyynelä they work as shepherds, because we have a small herd of sheeps of primitive race. Sheeps need good guards, because there are  bears and wolves in the forests of North-Karelia.

In addition to 4 Tibetan Mastiffs and sheeps there lives the family Kettunen (mother, father and two small children), a mixed-breed dog named Kossu and a cat named Aku and also some chickens in Tyynelä.

Our Tibetan Mastiffs`  character is gentle and they get along well with children and also with all pets.

Tyynelä is a small farmhouse in Lieksa, small town in eastern Finland.  Finland is a  country between Sweden and Russia. To the north of Finland is Norway.
