Pidro 1.3

Pidro is a traditional card game that is played in the region of Swedish Ostrobothnia, Finland. The game is also played, in different variants, in the United States and parts of Latin America, and some say that it came to Finland with emigrants that moved back. As a unique part of the culture, it is played with pride. Every once in a while the "World Pidro Championships" are held, where the villages of Swedish Ostrobothnia compete against each other.

Pidro is played in pairs. The players value their cards and bid accordingly, and the pair that bids the highest gets to choose the colour, which is an immense advantage. After the bidding stage the game is played in tricks. "Pidro" refers to the fives, which are the most important cards in this game.

A Carbon version of Pidro for Mac OS X is now available. Please read the enclosed documentation to find out other version changes and important notes about the game.
