FINALLY SOME EVIDENCES ABOUT WEATHER CONTROL

Subtitle: Did George W. Bush win the elections in the year 2000 because of Weather-Modification?

By Pasi Toivonen

In Finland people are very interested in weather and they read a lot of newspapers. Thus, they are familiar with the current debates and a Global Warming is an on-going debate in the Western World. And people believe in it very strongly. Many people believe that the Global Warming is soon out of control and that people must do something on it. And that is what IPCC wants us to believe. The State-run TV has showed several documents where people try to explain that the Global Warming is a hoax more or less, but unfortunately this has not changed their attitudes.

Why people in Finland and generally in Europe believe so strongly in Global Warming, and why many people North America do not believe in it? I think that weather is the reason. Year 1987 was terrible cold in Finland; but then, in First of January, 1988, the weather changed totally -- and possible for good. There began a 17-year Warm Period. This suddenly change was probably the reason why Finns are so interested in weather and why I am also so interested in this subject. You can visit in my Weather-site (click here).

So, I started to follow weather statistics and write these down on paper. I followed stories about record low temperatures in the USA, especially in the year 1993 and 1996 while there was pretty mild in Finland and Europe. I began to think that some scientists started to draw warm, tropical air to Europe and push cold, arctic air to North America probably by controlling the routes of high and low pressures. Two months ago I finally started to study if it is really so that the rise in temperatures has been smaller in the U.S. than in Finland.

First, let us examine the temperatures in Finland.

You can see that in 1990's, the temperature has risen remarkable.

This rise is more clear if you take the period 1961-1987 and compare it to the period 1988-2003.

Surprise! In Eastern Canada, the temperature has not risen at all in 1990's. It was difficult to find statistics from the period 1961-1990 since these have been removed almost from everywhere. But Canadian Meteorological Institute has very good site where you can find temperatures fron several Canadian cities from period 1971-2000 at http://climate.weatheroffice.ec.gc.ca/climate_normals/stnselect_e.html.

SUMMARY

In half of the USA and large part part of Canada the temperature has risen very little or not at all or even dropped in 1990's. You can take a World Atlas, put your finger on the City of Saint John's, Newfoundland. Then, draw a figurative line between these cities: St.John's (Newfoundland) -- Washington D.C -- Apalachicola (Florida) -- Mobile (Alabama) -- Houston -- Winnemucca (Nevada) -- Helena (Montana) -- Moosonee (Ontario) -- St.John's. Inside these lines there is a large area where the temperature has not risen practically at all (painted in blue). The area where the temperature has risen more or less has been painted in red. Note, that inside the blue area there are two small red areas inside these cities: Toronto -- Detroit -- Milwaukee (Wisconsin) -- Bismarck (North Dakota) -- Timmins (Ontario) -- Toronto; and: Lincoln (Nebraska) -- Wichita (Kansas) -- Louisville (Kentucky) -- Lincoln.

When the Presidential elections came in late 2000, this process of Weather Modification had been functioning for 13 years. People in the U.S. remembered the cold winters of 1996 and 1999; and when Al Gore spoke about the global warming and the need for reduce carbon dioxide emissions they got angry -- because from their perspective the Global Warming was not real -- and voted for George W. Bush even though they did not like much about his policy. This weird weather -- cold in America and warm in Europe -- had been lasted 17 years at the end of 2004; but, since this winter of 2005 has been pretty mild in the U.S. and very cold in much of Europe, it seems that this phase of the Weather Modification Process in finally end. This period lasted 17 years, from the beginning of 1988 to the end of 2004. If there is cold in one part of the world and warm in another part -- for few years -- it could be a co-incidence. But, 17 years? -- I don't think so.

Two examples about how they have modificated the weather:

H = High pressure; L = Low pressure
